Assistance League of Bellingham Donates Over 200 New Books for Kids!

Donating Books to Unity Care NW

In February, Assistance League of Bellingham participated in NATIONAL ACTION WEEK, which annually honors the founder of Assistance League, Ann Banning.

Each chapter in the USA participates in a week of service to our communities in honor of our founding as an organization. This year’s focus was literacy and we held a Children’s New Book Drive for kids 0-10 years old. We received over 200 books! The books were donated to both the local LIONS CLUB BOOKS FOR KIDS and to UNITY CARE NW for their clinic waiting rooms.

Kudos to our members and customers who contributed to our successful drive!
