ASSAULT SURVIVOR KITS®

Help Us Support Survivors

Assault Survivor Kits® originated in 1991 in Auburn, California where the kits were introduced by Lee Ann Greer who was a member of Assistance League® of Greater Placer after she saw a need in her community.

Other chapters across the United States have successfully adopted this program including Assistance League Coachella Valley.

Kits of comfortable new clothing and personal care items are provided to survivors of assault when their clothing is retained by law enforcement as evidence.

Instead of wearing a hospital gown as they leave the medical facility – they can wear new clothing which we hope will provide some small measure of comfort to survivors.

Our “kits” represent a compassionate thought that others care during a very trying time.  We collaborate with Partners Against Violence so they may have a ready inventory to distribute to assault survivors.

Assault Survivor Kits became a registered trademark of National Assistance League® in 1997.
