Assisteens Application

Assisteens® is an auxiliary for students in grades 7-12. During the summer, members work to process new clothing for Operation School Bell as it arrives by truck. During the school year, members work with children residing at La Posada Home, a transitional living center for homeless women and children.

Another focus area is activity planning for residents at the senior retirement community Royal Estates. Assisteens interact with residents during their visits who thoroughly enjoy their presence.

Assisteens® are teen auxiliaries of Assistance League® chapters that encourage and provide volunteer opportunities for young people in grades 7-12. The goals are to develop a sense of community responsibility, self-reliance, personal responsibility, poise, public speaking, and leadership skills.
