WHO (We Help Others) serves abused, homeless women and their children at La Posada Home.  La Posada Home provides a safe environment for women and children as they work to create a new life.

WHO volunteers supply daily necessities to help these women return to a better life. Needed items that we provide vary each month, but can include toiletries, paper products, diapers, baby formula, cleaning supplies, towel sets, linens, and bedding are needed for each room. Families are able to take these supplies when they transition into more permanent housing.

Ronald McDonald House is also a WHO program, where volunteers serve two meals monthly to families staying there in order to be closer to their hospitalized children.  It is a simple act which lets visitors know we care.

Help Another to Smile or HATS creates uniquely decorated caps and knitted beanies for cancer patients and their family members that are guests of Ronald McDonald House,  or receiving treatments at University Medical Center or Texas Oncology Granview center.  Newborn beanies are specially knitted for the premature infants at UMC Children’s Hospital.  Volunteer share their creativity at group work sessions and we are often joined by community groups.

Stitches of Love or SOL creates handmade quilts, blankets, and school mats for the children at La Posada Home, UMC Children’s Hospital, and other organizations that serve those in need.  Volunteers work both at home and at monthly group work sessions.
