Assistance League of Sonoma County is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that is comprised of multi-talented people working together to fulfill its mission.  We are an organization whose members served 19,662 hours last year.  Our volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of Sonoma County residents through hands-on programs.

Membership is open to those who wish to be of service to the community and have the time, creativity and passion to volunteer.  The joy of giving is expressed through extraordinary programs chosen to meet the specific needs of the community.

Membership Levels and Requirements

There are two groups within our organization.  The chapter meets during the day.  The Redwood Empire Auxiliary meets in the evening and provides people with limited time an opportunity to volunteer for community service.  They have their individual programs and fund them through an annual tea.   The tea has a different theme every year with a fashion show, silent auction and raffle.


  • Supports the mission of the chapter.
  • Meetings are on the third Thursday of every month except July, August and December.
  • Supports and participates in the philanthropic programs and/or fundraising activities of the chapter.  Chooses from the following areas to volunteer: thrift shop, philanthropic programs or committees.
  • Has the right to vote and hold office.
  • Pays annual dues of $60.
  • Supports the mission of the chapter.
  • May serve on chapter committees, including acting as appointive chairman.
  • Pays annual dues of $75.
