FAQ for Consignment

The consignor keeps 60% of the the sale price; Daue’s 40% is reinvested in our community through our philanthropies:  clothing children, supplying backpacks and school supplies, providing art experiences and supplies, providing educational puppet programs, assisting with dental screenings for local school children, supporting the Bookmobile visits to every first grade classroom in Salem-Keizer, delivering library materials to adults who cannot get to the library, assisting youth transitioning from foster care, providing additional services for homeless students, and birthday parties for children in shelters. 

Items are consigned for a minimum of 31 days.

Consignment is on Monday and Wednesday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. First Saturday consignment is from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  No appointments necessary.

Bring your items to the Daue Basement entrance.  Consignment is on Monday and Wednesday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. First Saturday consignment is from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm.  No appointments necessary.

Merchandise is consigned at the discretion of Assistance League  Salem-Keizer Pricing and Marking Committee.  A minimum consignment price is $15.

Items are reduced 25% on the 31st day, 50% on the 61st day, and on the 91st day the item is considered donated.

Holiday items will be reduced 50% the week before and after the holiday and are considered donated one week following the holiday.

Holidays are:  Valentine’s Day, Easter, July 4th, Halloween, Thanksgiving , Christmas

Gently used donations are gladly accepted and are tax-deductible.

Please call to make sure we will accept large items.  Floor and wall space are limited.

Bring your jewelry on the regular consignment days (Monday and Wednesday).  Jewelry valued at $400 needs to provide a professional appraisal.

You may call any time to check on sales.  Checks are written and mailed in the first week of the month.  Checks for less than $10 are written quarterly (February, May, August, November).

The Daue House does not consign:

Items that are broken, chipped, repaired, dirty or otherwise in poor condition

Single Plates

Coins

Sets of Dishes

Opened Playing Cards or Board Games

FAQ for shopping at the Daue House

We can place a single day hold on any item that is more than 48 hours from a price reduction. You may also take an item On Approval for one business day. To do that you would need to leave payment with the cashier for the item.  If you do not return the item, the payment will be processed at the end of the business day.

All sales are final. You could, however, choose to reconsign it with us.

No, we sign contracts with our consignors that include the automatic price reductions.

The first price reduction of 25% is on the 31st day.  The second, 50%  is on the 61st day,  The final reduction is on the 91st day and the item is considered donated to ALS-K.

Second Edition accepts seasonal donations at any time.  You may call to find out what we are accepting at any time.

You will find a full array of women’s tops, slacks, coats, sweaters, dresses, shoes, and purses.

At the end of each season we have special sales of the inventory.  Look for some outstanding bargains.
