We are thrilled to announce our new philanthropy, Igniting Potential. This program will provide financial and hands-on support to San Clemente High School AVID students. AVID is for all students with a priority to serve those determined to be ‘in the middle,’ often low income/first generation college bound, or without other supports. ALCV will support San Clemente High School AVID students by funding buses to take seniors to visit potential colleges, providing supplies, and additional training for teachers. Because our members want to be engaged with the community, ALCV will also provide hands-on support by assisting with mock interviews, giving seniors practice for scholarship interviews, and securing professionals to speak with sophomore students about possible careers.
