Chapters for Children Philanthropy

Chapters for Children is a philanthropy dedicated to supporting the children of military personnel serving at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton by providing them with essential clothing and accessories. We understand the unique challenges faced by military families, including frequent relocations, deployments, and financial strains. Our mission is to ease some of the burdens these families encounter by ensuring their children have the clothing they need to thrive.

Since 2004, we have partnered with several local Assistance League chapters to provide back to school clothing for active enlisted Marine and Navy families serving at Camp Pendleton. Each chapter provides a clothing item including shirts, pants, shoes, underwear, and other necessities.

This program not only provides practical assistance to military families but also demonstrates empathy, community support, and a commitment to honoring the sacrifices made by military personnel.  We also offer a 10% discount to military personnel at our thrift store, The Bargain Box in San Clemente.

Our annual Chapters for Children event is held in the fall. The annual impact of this philanthropy is $10-20K.

We are proud to have earned the prestigious Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level awarded!
