Operation School Bell®

Elementary students in need, Kindergarten through 8th grade, come to Assistance League chapter house to “shop free” for brand new clothing.  They all leave with a huge bag of new clothes, shoe vouchers, books, wide grins, and a renewed sense of confidence.

Pass It On

Working through social agencies, this program provides surplus items and unsold Thrift Shop merchandise to nonprofit organizations that distribute them without cost to people in need.

Kids Are Pretty Special

Provides items like diapers and wipes to Court Appointed Children’s Advocates (CASA) for their cllients who are being removed from abusive homes.

Adopt A Nursing Home

Adults living in Sunset Villa Nursing home enjoy monthly birthday/holiday parties.

Museum Hosting

Provides hostesses for artist openings/receptions at the Roswell Museum and Art Center.

Backpacks for Homeless

Provides filled backpacks for distribution to the homeless.

Blankets for CASA

Assisteens® create blankets as personal gifts for teens who are under the care of Court Appointed Advocates.

College Scholarships

Assistance League of Chaves County awards the Jane Garrett Scholarship, four Linda Hays Memorial Scholarships, and two Kenneth and Alice Smith Family Foundation Scholarships to seven senior Assisteens completing their senior year and pursuing their education at the institution of their choice.
