Established in September 2019, Assisteens is Assistance League of Coppell’s teen auxiliary. When students join Assisteens, they learn the value of volunteerism and become contributing members of the community. Assisteens members determine the charitable programs and volunteer opportunities where they will participate. This gives the members a sense of ownership and excitement over the programs they serve. Past service projects include mentoring elementary age CISD students, making blankets for residents of St. Joseph Village and River Oaks Assisted Living Center, collecting shoes and clothing for Soles4Souls, volunteering with Sack Summer Hunger and cleaning the Coppell Nature Park trails. This group meets monthly during the school year and is open to students in grades 7 – 12.
