At Assistance League of Georgetown Area we understand the challenges educators face, particularly the strain of limited resources and funding. Many teachers spend their own money to fill the gaps. Our Assist-A-Teacher program helps to alleviate these burdens through two innovative initiatives. These programs are exclusive to the Florence and Granger Independent School Districts for the 2025-2026 school year.
Assistance League Teacher Education Grants PreK-12
- Eligible School Districts: Florence and Granger ISDs
- Purpose: This grant program provides funding for a variety of educational needs including materials, speakers, supplies, books, software, and field trips. All purchases must comply with district guidelines, including IT requirements.
- Application Period: September 15, 2025 – October 15, 2025. All applications must be received by 5:00pm on October 15, 2025.
- Funding Limit: $1,000
- Notification Date: Winners will be notified by October 31, 2025.
- Reporting Requirements: If selected, winners must provide a minimum of five (5) photos and/or a 2-minute video of the grant in action, as well as one paragraph (100 words) explaining how the grant impacted students/staff. This will be due to Assistance League of Georgetown Area no later than May 1, 2026.

Assistance League Just-in-Time Teacher Assistance PreK-5

- Eligible School Districts: Florence and Granger Independent School Districts
- Purpose: This grant program provides immediate access to essential classroom consumables such as glue sticks, pencils, dry erase markers, facial tissues, paper, hand sanitizer, crayons and colored pencils. The goal is to replenish supplies that may have been expended since the beginning of the school year, ensuring teachers have the necessary resources to create an effective learning environments without a financial burden.
- Application Period: January 2026 until funds are depleted
- Funding Limit: $ 75
- Notification Date: Ongoing
