The Assistance League of Newport-Mesa held its first Chapter meeting on Tuesday, June 10th for the 2025-2026 year. In the midst of improvements to our chapter building, Nancy Yeager, President, discovered a buried time capsule from members in the 1990s that had been long forgotten.

For our June chapter meeting and celebration, themed “Going Back to the Future” we had the honor of welcoming Costa Mesa Mayor, John Stephens and Newport Beach Council Member, Robyn Grant, a former volunteer member of our very own Assistance League chapter! Council Member Grant presented a Proclamation to the Chapter and Certificates to several longstanding Assistance League members. The treasured contents of the time capsule are on display in the League’s Garden Room.
