My name is Lila Ancone and I am the Assisteens Vice Chairperson for 2024-2025. One of my responsibilities was to identify, coordinate and execute an Assisteens-wide philanthropy project for the new year. I chose to focus on helping to alleviate food and nutrition insecurity in our community. In August, we partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank on their farm. Together we weeded over 3 acres of crops to ensure all are well fed in Orange County. In October, we packed food boxes for seniors facing food insecurity. Our next All Assisteens Service Day will be back at the farm on March 8th. Will you please help me and encourage your teams to sign up for our March 8th event? We need 60 volunteers (20 RAs & 40 Assisteens). Information about the March 8th event is below.
Thank you,
Lila Ancone
