GENERAL FUND: Assistance League of Newport-Mesa is a chapter of Assistance League®, a national non-profit organization formed in 1935 that helps chapters identify local problems and deliver the right solutions. Assistance League of Newport-Mesa began in 1940 in Newport Beach with a small group of women wanting to make a difference in the lives of children.

The Newport-Mesa chapter members volunteer over 20,000 hours of service every year to fund the Cheri Harris Dental Center, Operation School Bell®, and High School Scholarship philanthropies. Our programs helped over 8,400 underserved children and their families in the Costa Mesa and Newport Beach communities just in the last year. By supporting your local chapter, you can make a difference in the community!

CHERI HARRIS DENTAL CENTER: The Cheri Harris Dental Center provides low-cost dental care for low-income families in our communities. We provide general and preventative dentistry, plus orthodontic and endodontic programs for patients 4 – 30. Your donation will help families seeking additional financial support with their orthodontic or endodontic treatment plans.

OPERATION SCHOOL BELL®: Since 1992, Operation School Bell® has provided new uniforms, books, and essentials at no cost to Newport-Mesa Unified School District elementary students of low-income families. Your donation will be used for purchasing additional clothing for families in emergency situations.

HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS: The importance of education and literacy are at the heart of Assistance League of Newport-Mesa. Higher education scholarships of up to $5,000 are awarded to qualifying Newport-Mesa Unified School seniors. Your donation will ensure that deserving candidates receive scholarships and can achieve their dreams.
