Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito’s Scholarship Program was established in 2019 for graduates of San Dieguito Union High School District. To date, $156,000 has been awarded to scholarships, with funding to more than 100 students.

Our requirements for the need based scholarships are basic: A 2.0 GPA or higher, plans to attend a university, community college or technical/trade school, and evidence of grit and determination to complete their secondary education. We generally award $2,000 scholarships to first year students, and with proper documentation, $1,000 for second year students.

For 2025, we have allocated $35,000 to scholarships, our largest amount since inception and our second highest line item in programs. Each student is connected with a mentor (not necessarily a member), who stays in touch and follows their progress, helping to insure a smooth transition beyond high school.

Interested students submit online applications on our website. They also participate in interviews conducted by Scholarship Committee members. These committee members are former educators and school counselors.
