New beginnings are hopeful and exciting—but they can also be challenging. Through the Starting Out Supplies (SOS) program, we aim to smooth the way for Seattle families transitioning from unhoused situations to permanent housing.

In partnership with our Wallingford neighbors at Solid Ground, Sandpoint Housing in Magnuson Park, and Plymouth Healing Communities, we assist around 20 families annually by providing them household necessities as they move into their new homes. Our volunteers purchase, assemble, and deliver welcome supply baskets for families of up to six people. Each kit includes carefully selected bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, and cleaning supplies tailored to each family’s needs—so they can start their new lives with confidence and comfort.

Through this ongoing program, we aim to provide more than just supplies—we’re helping our neighbors build secure and welcoming homes.
