Bargain Box Thrift Shop

The Assistance League Thrift Shop is our primary and largest fundraiser. It is operated solely by member volunteers. The shop opened in September 1956 and has grown in both size and customer volume. The chapter strives to provide quality merchandise at reasonable prices to valued customers.

The shop is staffed by our dedicated members, who sort, size, price, and repair and display merchandise on the floor. Offered is clothing and shoes for children and adults, household items, books, sports equipment, toys, linens, and small electronics for “bargain” prices.

All revenue from sales is spent to fund the philanthropic programs and to purchase new clothing for Operation School Bell^® and new teddy bears for Operation Hugs.

Beginning July 21, 2020, the thrift shop will be open Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 11 AM to 3 PM.  Donations can be dropped off at our receiving door, adjacent to the alley, Mondays 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM beginning August 10, 2020. The shop closes for a summer break and again between Christmas and New Year’s.
