Diablo Valley – Volunteers Screen Preschoolers Eyesight
Since 2005, Prevent Blindness has trained Assistance League of Diablo Valley Foresight program volunteers, who in turn, have screened more than 13,000 preschoolers, resulting in 400 referrals for full vision exams and identifying 32 cases of amblyopia, commonly known as “lazy eye.”
