Carlsbad – Awards Eleanor Haroun Memorial Scholarship

carlsbadCarlsbad High School 2016 graduate Augusta Edwards has been awarded the Eleanor Haroun Memorial Scholarship by the Carlsbad Chapter of the Assistance League.

Edwards was chosen based on her outstanding scholastic record and volunteer activities in the community. She has earned a high grade point average while volunteering by coaching Carlsbad Youth Soccer and volunteering during Ducky Affair and Operation School Bell. She is also a member of Key Club and St. Edwards Youth.

Edwards plans to attend The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology in the fall to study biomedical engineering.

The Assistance League of Carlsbad awards the Eleanor Haroun Memorial Scholarship to a graduating senior each year. It is renewable for three additional years with qualifying grades.
