Assistance League of Reno-Sparks was recently recognized at the Washoe County School District’s “Salute to Signatures & CTE” event.
This annual event, sponsored by WCSD Council for Career and Technical Education, provides an opportunity to showcase all of the Signature Academy and CTE programs offered at each high school throughout the district.
Assistance League of Reno-Sparks was honored for its collaborative efforts to raise awareness of career and technical education programs and support of health science programs in the district. Assistance League’s Links to Learning Program award of $50,000 to the health science Signature Academies at Reno High School, Reed High School, and Spanish Springs High School was instrumental in purchasing needed equipment to enhance the schools’ programs.
Members of Assistance League were also acknowledged for volunteering at the WCSD Career Expo and participating in Operation Health Bound.
