WASHOE COUNTY, Nev. (NEWS 4) — A two-month long toiletry drive collected enough items to help 400 senior citizens in-need in Washoe County. View the video.
The toiletry drive was hosted by the Assistance League of Reno-Sparks and the Nevada Chapter of the Associated General Contractors.
Members of the Nevada Chapter AGC Community Outreach presented the collected toiletries to Assistance League members and senior recipients in the Food Pantry program on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.
The donated toiletries will be assembled into grooming kits that Assistance League’s Senior Food Pantry program distributes along with basic food items to more than 400 in-need senior citizens once per month through the Washoe County Senior Services Center.
