More than 700 children of enlisted military families at Camp Pendleton recently went on a free shopping spree for new school clothes courtesy of seven area chapters of the nonprofit Assistance League as part of the Operation School Bell® program.
Assistance League volunteers helped families find items such as hooded sweatshirts, socks shoes and jeans. The event was organized by Assistance League chapters, including Capistrano Valley, Inland North County, Laguna Beach, North Coast, Rancho San Dieguito, Saddleback Valley and Temecula Valley.
