Whittier – Presents Sylvia Foltz the Ada Edwards Laughlin Award

Congratulations to Sylvia Foltz on receiving the Assistance League Ada Edwards Laughlin Award! This is the highest award a member can receive and Sylvia is an outstanding and worthy recipient of this honor.

Not only has Sylvia been Assistance League of Whittier’s President, she has been a teacher, Chair of YMCA, Charter President of LA California Women for Agriculture, VP of the 1987 Whittier Centennial, past president of American Association of University Women, Whittier Historical Society, her PEO, Friends of the Shannon Center, and current president of the East Whittier Women’s Improvement Club. Sylvia served as Co-chair of the 1st Whittier Design Home, served as a commissioner of the Whittier Parks and Recreations for nine years and was a member of the Cultural Arts Foundation She was also has been a Trustee for the Floral Trade Council and Roses Import Action Committee!
