Los Gatos-Saratoga – Honored by School Superintendent

los-gatosAssistance League of Los Gatos-Saratoga was recently honored with a presentation made by Campbell Union School District Superintendent Eric Andrew, PhD.  His topic was “Top 10 Reasons Why Our Students Prosper From This Partnership”.

He reminded us that we have been working with this school district for 15 years and that we continue to boost the literacy of the students we reach.  He was appreciative of the Literacy Program which reaches 1000 students with 2500 books each year, and our Literacy Tutoring Program, as well as our support with new shoes and jackets, science camp scholarships, yearly distribution of 1000 dictionaries to 3rd graders and our partnership in Rising Young Authors.

Dr. Andrew’s #1 reason why the Campbell Union School District prospers from our partnership is that our volunteers bring “smiles and hope to many students in the district.”
