San Luis Obispo County – Celebrates 20 Years

Assistance League of San Luis Obispo County is celebrating 20 years of service to the community by making a difference in the lives of children through the organization’s philanthropic programs.

The chapter received its charter from National Assistance League in March 1996.

Since that time, its volunteer membership went from 51 original members to more than 130 women. Its signature program, Operation School Bell®, has clothed more than 20,000 children in all 10 school districts in the county, providing school-appropriate clothing for children in grades K-12.

Members are also celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Assistance League Thrift Store in San Luis Obispo.
