The “Holiday Heroes” Luncheon Event is a time to showcase the GVCC’s Ambassador team and their year of service in 2015. It’s also a time when the Chamber shines a light on one of our nonprofit members. This year we’ve chosen the Assistance League and their “JUST Because…” program which stocks the Foster Closet at DSHS. Often, when a child is placed in foster care they leave with only the clothes on their back. This clothing drive focuses on new and teen sized jeans, underwear, socks and t-shirts: J.U.S.T.!
(Addendum: The chapter received $3,200 worth of new clothing for foster teens at this luncheon, along with some great publicity!)
