Greater Placer – Get Kids Packing

Assistance League of Greater Placer members provide backpacks and school supplies to children grades Kindergarten through 12th grade in pre-designated Placer County locations, working with Kids First in Roseville and Auburn and North Tahoe Family Resource Center in Tahoe. “When the children arrive to choose the backpacks they desire and are given a box of school supplies,” says Committee Chairman Marysue Tiffany. “The expressions on their faces, especially the Kindergartners, first, second and third graders are priceless. Those faces make us volunteer to do this every year. It is so worthwhile.”
