Mid-Missouri – Grant for Winter Coats from Boone Electric Community Trust

Boone Electric Community Trust, of Columbia, Missouri, provided Assistance League of Mid-Missouri with a $10,000 grant to purchase winter coats for area children through Operation School Bell ®.  “The Trust is excited to provide this funding to Assistance League of Mid-Missouri”, Trust Chair Craig Stevenson says, “Knowing that the Trust is supporting this group’s efforts to help provide much needed educational and growth opportunities to area children resonates with the Trust’s mission of “Making a Difference”.”

Operation School Bell provides new winter clothing and coats to children in pre-school through fifth grade in the Columbia Public Schools.  The goal is to increase the self-esteem of the child and encourage regular school attendance.  Since the program’s inception in 1997, over 25,000 children have been served.

Thanks to the Boone Electric Community Trust for this wonderful philanthropic support!  It will make a huge difference in the lives of area school children.
