Phoenix – Receives Donation of Hand Sanitizer

Assistance League of Phoenix has received a donation of 48 gallons of hand sanitizer from Titos Handmade Vodka.
The donation will be used in the nonprofit’s thrift store, aboard the Delivering Dreams Buses bringing new clothing to low income children throughout the Valley, and throughout their corporate office/warehouse.

Since beginning production in late March, Titos has donated 700 tons of hand sanitizer to critical frontline workers in over 30 states and counting, as well as to the general public in cities across the U.S., according to a press release.

“We’re so appreciative of this hand sanitizer donation,” said Aimee Runyon, chief executive officer of Assistance League of Phoenix. “The supply will last us several months and give us peace of mind that we can offer it to customers, employees, volunteers and students. We are following all CDC guidelines and want everyone to feel safe. It will also come in handy once our buses can resume through our Operation School Bell® program.” Assistance League of Phoenix is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has been serving the Phoenix area for nearly 60 years.

The organization has 140 members and 350 community/corporate volunteers and is affiliated with a national Assistance League with 120 chapters nationwide. Last year, Assistance League of Phoenix members volunteered over 26,000 hours and raised over $1.4 million to serve over 20,000 children in the greater Phoenix community.
