Rancho San Dieguito – Provides Tuition Assistance

The chapter is providing $5,000 this spring to three school districts in our service area that have low income families who struggle to pay the tuition for their 6th graders’ attendance at the week-long Outdoor Learning Camp.

The photo shows the presentation of $2,000 check to the Cardiff School District for tuition at Camp Cuyamaca. Research on this camp experienceindicates that all who attend benefit, especially at risk youth. The camp experience provides a new way to develop leadership skills and self-reliance and to improve relationships with peers – a critical component as teenage years approach.

Assistance League of Rancho San Dieguito volunteers are delighted to support these scholarships that enrich the lives of North County young learners. Our chapter’s philanthropic goal is to enrich the lives of children, encouraging them to achieve and to become the productive adults that will benefit the city of Cardiff by the Sea and San Diego County.
