Los Angeles – Bringing Live Theatre to Children for 87 Years

Entertaining Los Angeles’ Children for over 85 years

Producing plays since 1929, Assistance League of Los Angeles Theatre for Children is the oldest children’s theatre in Southern California. The League’s award-winning Nine O’Clock Players Auxiliary performs two plays annually chosen from classic children’s literature with dancing, singing and special effects.

The productions are offered to school groups during the week and to the public on weekends. Revenue from weekend performances support Nine O’Clock Players to offer shows and bus transportation at no cost to economically and physically-challenged children.

Our mission for 85 years has been to introduce children to the magic of live performance, literature and music through the joy of theatre. After weekend shows, children can meet the cast members in the patio to get autographs.

NOW PLAYING:  CHARLOTTE’S WEB – The Musical

E.B. White’s beloved children’s classic Charlotte’s Web, is a fairy tale about a young farm pig, Wilbur, who is fighting for his life to escape the slaughterhouse.

Of all the barnyard creatures, Wilbur’s greatest defender is Charlotte, a clever spider who devises an intriguing way to keep the little pig out of harm’s way. With tenacity and humor Charlotte carefully weaves her clever words into her delicate web. The question is, will they come in time to save Wilbur?
