Temecula Valley – Assisteens® Preset Mini Grants to Support Local Art and Physical Education

Assisteens, an auxiliary of Assistance League of Temecula Valley, has donated $500 to four Temecula Valley Unified School District teachers to help support their Physical Education and Art programs. The group, responsible for a yearly budget of $2,000, made the decision to direct their donation to local teachers to support their programs. The teachers who received the grants are Nancy Reza, Temecula Elementary; Kim Mazelin, Crowne Hill Elementary; Teri Rentner, Rancho Elementary and Susan Laliberte, Vail Elementary.

These grants are a new addition to the many contributions and services provided by Assisteens, local teens in grades 7-12 who perform a minimum of 28 hours of community service each year. The group is supported by Assistance League, a national nonprofit organization that serves the needs of the community through programs such as Operation School Bell®, which provides new school clothes and supplies for children in need, and Project SMILE, which provides free emergency dental care for children.
