Assisteens Welcome Prospective Members

Assisteens®, our youth auxiliary, had a very successful open house event. Teens in grades 7-12, and many of their parents, came to learn about Assisteens and what they do to be of service to our community. The current members of Assisteens and the chapter’s committee members welcomed the prospective new members. Jayne Campbell, Ann Thompson and Marcia Bush spoke about the program, its history, and some of the projects Assisteens have worked on. At the end of the event, the group split into two groups, teens and adults, where they had an opportunity to ask questions. Everyone was then invited to tour the Assistance League thrift shop which was open for them to shop. Refreshments were served to all and everyone left with a smile. We are looking forward to the attendees becoming members of our amazing Assisteens! If any teens were not able to attend the event, they can still become members and learn more about the program by contacting Jayne Campbell at Assisteens@algreaterplacer.org
