Through partnerships with local shelters, resource centers, and support programs, Assistance League of Greater San Diego is able to provide essential resources and support that meet immediate needs, promote recovery, and help individuals and families rebuild their lives.

The Community Support Program (CSP) now assists twenty non-profit organizations that provide vital services to vulnerable populations, including:
- Housing insecure individuals and families
- Victims of domestic violence
- Foster and housing insecure youth
- Family resource centers
- Refugee families
- Families in need of emergency assistance

The program aims to support these organizations by providing essential goods and services to individuals and families in need. Funding comes from our thrift shop at University and First, as well as from grants and donations.

Impact and Estimations:
Our Community Support Program works with twenty organizations by providing essential resources—whether it’s food, clothing, personal care items or household items —to those in need. These efforts ensure that individuals and families facing hardship can feel dignified and supported as they work toward recovery and a brighter future.
Based on the program’s current structure, the Community Support Program estimates that it will be able to assist over 2400 individuals and families during the 2024-2025 fiscal year. This substantial impact highlights the importance and effectiveness of the program in meeting the needs of the community.
