Twain’s Mission Statement is: Within a small, supportive, and flexible learning environment, students engage in the development of higher-level thinking skills while becoming responsible citizens and preparing for careers and higher education.
The programs at Twain feature smaller class sizes and individualized programs and are designed to prepare students with the skills necessary for success. Students can graduate with a high school diploma or return to their comprehensive high schools to graduate.

Our committee supports the Twain program at the Twain Main Campus, Mira Mesa, Morse, Crawford, and Hoover High School campuses. Members offer encouragement and support for student success.

At the end of each school quarter, two or three committee members go to each school to recognize academic achievement. Students who have achieved high grade point averages for the grading period receive a certificate acknowledging their achievement and are feted with a pizza party. In the spring, Twain students who are graduating can apply for the one of our $2,000 scholarships to attend one of San Diego’s community colleges This year ten students were awarded scholarships and are currently attending a community college.
