Junior League of The Woodlands Funds Art Therapy Items

Last fiscal year, Junior League of The Woodlands granted $5000 to fund art therapy items for children involved with the Montgomery County Women’s Center. Over 60 boxes of supplies were recently delivered to our facility, inventoried by members of the Assault Survivor Kits® committee ,and delivered to the Women’s Center.  It was like Christmas in […]

Pass It On Workday at the Thrift Shop

The Pass It On Committee once a month cleans out the rounders and other areas at the Thrift Shop.  The items that are pulled are then sent to various agencies in Montgomery County.

New Members Introduced at November Regular Meeting

At the monthly regular meeting, 9 new members were introduced by Chairman of New Member Training, Kay Raun.  Kay read the biographical information of each new member and welcomed them to our chapter.

Assault Survivor Kits® Provide Comfort

Assault Survivor Kits contain clothing, toiletries and blankets which help the survivor make it through the trauma they have experienced.  In a marathon of matching sizes and gathering toiletries, members of the committee put together 147 of these kits in just under an hour at a recent committee meeting.

Assistance League Makes the Holidays Special

Members of the Caring & Sharing Committee, Jackie St. Cyr and Gale Eason, shopped for candy, popcorn, DVDs, and Pizza Hut gift cards for the ladies at Freedom Place.  The President, Judy Love, made the Halloween basket filled to the top with the treats for them to enjoy October 31.
