Pass It On Workday at the Thrift Shop

The Pass It On Committee once a month cleans out the rounders and other areas at the Thrift Shop.  The items that are pulled are then sent to various agencies in Montgomery County.

New Members Introduced at November Regular Meeting

At the monthly regular meeting, 9 new members were introduced by Chairman of New Member Training, Kay Raun.  Kay read the biographical information of each new member and welcomed them to our chapter.

Assault Survivor Kits® Provide Comfort

Assault Survivor Kits contain clothing, toiletries and blankets which help the survivor make it through the trauma they have experienced.  In a marathon of matching sizes and gathering toiletries, members of the committee put together 147 of these kits in just under an hour at a recent committee meeting.

Assistance League Makes the Holidays Special

Members of the Caring & Sharing Committee, Jackie St. Cyr and Gale Eason, shopped for candy, popcorn, DVDs, and Pizza Hut gift cards for the ladies at Freedom Place.  The President, Judy Love, made the Halloween basket filled to the top with the treats for them to enjoy October 31.

Information Packets Prepared by UBS Volunteers

A group of 8 enthusiastic volunteers from UBS Financial Services, Inc. in The Woodlands donated their time to assemble more than 900 student packets for the Poison Information-Always Ask Program™.  Thanks to their efforts, the committee is now ready  for the new school year.  Bring on the little ones to learn to “Always Ask.”
