Hopeful Stockings

Oftentimes homelessness is a barrier to truly enjoying the wonderful things the holiday season has to offer.  By putting together stockings full of toys, treats and everyday necessities, our Assisteens made the holidays even more special for 48 Newport-Mesa children experiencing homelessness. Operation School Bell Pack and Deliver

Our Operation School Bell program converted to a Pack and Deliver method this year. We packed clothing items for individual students and delivered the bags directly to the schools. The bags were labeled with the students name and grade. The school then distributed the bags of clothing.  Each bag contained 2 shirts, 2 pairs of […]

Assistance League Bears

The Assisteens have wrapped and delivered over 100 bears this year to the Newport Beach and Costa Mesa fire departments.  They take the bears with them when they go out on calls and give them to children experiencing trauma or in need of a bear hug!

For our November Chapter meeting we had small group gatherings at the park, at the Lido clubhouse and at various members homes and back yards to create Thanksgiving baskets for 13 of our Dental Center families in need. The Thrift Shop and Consignment Shop are our primary source of funding for our philanthropic programs.  Our members work hard to make sure the merchandise is always good quality, clean, and priced fairly.
