Assistance League of Carlsbad raised more than $100,000 during Thursday’s Christmas Tree Auction.
Lisa Watson, marketing director, said around $112,000 was raised from the sale of 26 Christmas trees and around $3,800 was raised from centerpiece sales.
“We had a great night,” she said. “We have a lot of interest in membership and we count last (Thursday) night as a great success.”
Watson said monies raised from the auction go to various functions supported by the Assistance League, including Operation School Bell®.
“We provide clothing for children in the Carlsbad and Loving school districts,” Watson said.
The funds will also be used for Books and Beyond and the Eleanor Harroun Memorial Merit Scholarship.
