Temecula Valley – Assistance League – “Love Promise” Keeps on Giving

Assistance League of Temecula Valley received a very special “Share the Love” donation from John Hine Temecula Subaru. On May 4th, John Hine, Owner/President, Tim Anderson, General Manager and their team met with Assistance League members and presented a donation of $48,215, representing the proceeds from the 2020 “Share the Love” campaign. This donation marks the seventh consecutive year that Assistance League of Temecula Valley has been selected as the John Hine Temecula Subaru local “Hometown Charity”. Donations during this period have totaled more than $214,000. 100% of funds donated go to Assistance League’s main philanthropic program, Operation School Bell program. “We are truly appreciative of the continuing support of John Hine Temecula Subaru,” said Denise Lanier, Assistance League President. “These generous donations enable Assistance League to serve many more students that live in poverty. The recognition that comes with this award is an incentive for our volunteer members to continue the important endeavor of more than thirty years of providing new school clothes and shoes to these students!”

Assistance League is a nonprofit service organization of volunteers committed to identifying and serving the needs of the Temecula, Murrieta, Menifee, Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and Romoland communities through philanthropic programs developed and administered by School Bell, its main philanthropic program, identifies low-income school children (K-12) in the five school districts within their service area. Each year, qualified students shop for new clothing and shoes, up to $125 in value, with their families, at local retail stores. “When Subaru announced that we could choose a local charity to be added to the Share the Love event, we did not have to even think hard about it. Assistance League of Temecula Valley was our first and only choice,” said Bill Brumbaugh, prior Vice President/GM of John Hine Temecula Subaru. “They have spent the last 30 years helping those less fortunate achieve a better, more meaningful life. We are proud to have such a wonderful, caring and hard-working organization right here in Temecula.” “This is the 13th year John Hine Temecula Subaru has had the opportunity to take part in this wonderful Subaru Campaign” said Tim Anderson, General Manager, John Hine Temecula Subaru. “Since 2007, our first year in the Temecula Valley, with the help of our loyal Hine customers, we’ve donated over $214,000 that directly help families and children in need right here in the Temecula Valley. Assistance League has been such a fantastic partner and we are looking forward to an exciting year in 2021.”
