Assistance League® of Amador Valley Scholarship — $5,000
We will be awarding 2 Assistance League of Amador Valley Scholarships this year!
The Assistance League of Amador Valley Scholarship annually provides $5,000 in funding to help cover the cost of tuition, books and supplies.
Requirements for Application:
- Graduating high school senior with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Accepted at a four-year college or university and remain a full-time student for the school year following receipt of the scholarship payment
- Community service encouraged
- Current resident of Dublin, Livermore or Pleasanton
- All parts of the application must be completed and submitted online
- Applicants cannot be a chapter member or the relative of a chapter member of Assistance League of Amador Valley
The Tri-Valley Community Scholarship — $2,000
We will be awarding 2 Tri-Valley Community Scholarships this year!
The Tri-Valley Community Scholarship was created to focus on those students who are motivated to continue their education at an accredited community college or certified technical/trade school.
We will be awarding 2 Tri-Valley Community Scholarships for 2025. The Tri-Valley Community Scholarship provides $2,000 in funding to help cover the cost of tuition, books and supplies.
Requirements for Application
- Graduating, high school senior with a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Accepted to an accredited community college or certified technical/trade school and remain enrolled in school to complete the term following receipt of the scholarship payment
- Current resident of Dublin, Livermore or Pleasanton
- All parts of the application must be completed and submitted online
- Applicants cannot be a chapter member or the relative of a chapter member of Assistance League of Amador Valley
The Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship — $5,000
The Las
Positas College Transfer Scholarship is for graduating students of Las Positas College transferring to a four-year college or university. This scholarship was created to help students with the higher cost of attending a four-year school – tuition, books, and school supplies. We understand that attending a four-year college or university – while broadening a student’s education – comes with additional costs.
The Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship annually provides $5,000 in funding to help cover the cost of tuition, books and supplies.
Requirements for Application:
- Graduating Las Positas College with an Associate’s Degree and a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Accepted at a four-year college or university and remain a full-time student for the school year following receipt of the scholarship payment
- Current resident of Dublin, Livermore or Pleasanton
- All parts of the application must be completed and submitted online
- Applicants cannot be a chapter member or the relative of a chapter member of Assistance League® of Amador Valley
2025 Scholarship Recipients
2025 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship Recipient
Ishmeet Dhillon is the second recipient to receive the $5,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship. Ishmet is graduating from Las Positas College in Livermore. She will be attending Yale University in the fall. ALAV was impressed with her ability to overcome many obstacles as she attended Las Positas College.
“I am immensely thankful for the Amador Valley Assistance League’s volunteer efforts and community service initiatives. AL Amador Valley has made a difference in both my life and academic journey, and inspires me to continue helping those in need.”


2025 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Scholarship Recipient
Thomas Chan received the $5,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Scholarship. Thomas is graduating from Amador High School in Pleasanton. He will be attending Harvard College in the fall. ALAV was impressed with his community service activities, as well as, his enthusiasm.
“It is my honor to receive this scholarship, and I will put it to good use and benefit our world in the future. I aspire to practice surgery internationally and pass on the art of medicine to the next generation doctors in developing countries.”

2025 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Scholarship Recipient
Gianna Buscho received the $5,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Scholarship. Gianna is graduating from Pleasanton Virtual Academy in Pleasanton. She will be attending UC Santa Cruz in the fall. ALAV was inspired not only by her community service activities but also by the resilience she showed in facing challenges at home.
“This scholarship will make a difference to me by allowing me to reduce the cost of college. By reducing the cost of college, I can focus more on my studies and get my dream job of being a graphic designer.”
2025 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship Recipient
Laina Stifter received the $2,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship. Laina graduated from Granada High School in Livermore. She will attend Los Positas College in the fall.
“No matter what obstacles come my way, I always strive to do my best—even when the journey seems impossible. Life has presented me with many mountains to climb, but I refuse to give up. I am resilient, determined, and ready to advocate for myself as I work toward my dreams.”

2025 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship Recipient
Luca Moore received the $2,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship. Luca graduated from Amador High School in Pleasanton. He will attend Los Positas College in the fall.
“I’ve lived in Pleasanton my whole life with my mom, my little brother Roman, and my grandma. They’ve always had my back and pushed me to work hard and chase my goals.”

2024 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship Recipient
Danielle Islas is the first recipient to receive the $3,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Las Positas College Transfer Scholarship. Danielle is graduating from Las Positas College in Livermore.. She will be attending California State University East Bay in the fall. ALAV was impressed with her ability to overcome many obstacles as she attended Las Positas College.
“I value this opportunity and achievement as it reminds me of my ability to move forward despite the many obstacles I face and to dream a little bit bigger.”


2024 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Jean Cole Scholarship Recipient
Joshua Skrzypczak received the $3,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Jean Cole Scholarship. Joshua is graduating from Amador High School in Pleasanton. He will be attending UCLA in the fall. ALAV was impressed with his community service activities, as well as, his enthusiasm.
“I am grateful and blessed to grow up in Pleasanton where I’ve had many opportunities to learn and grow.
I will be attending UCLA in the Fall with an emphasis in public policy and political science as I aspire for a career in government and public service.”
2024 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship Recipient
David Peregrine received the $1,500 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship. David graduated from Village High School in Pleasanton. He will attend Los Positas College in the fall.
“My parents have sacrificed so much to get me where I am. They are the reason I want to succeed in life.”

2023 Scholarship Recipients

2023 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Jean Cole Scholarship Recipient
Cassandra Raphael received the $2,500 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Jean Cole Scholarship. Cassandra is graduating from Foothill High School in Pleasanton. She has been accepted into the University of Portland Nursing Program. ALAV was impressed with her community service activities. She volunteered for her synagogue youth program and preschool program. She is a Girl Scout, hosts clothing drives, packages gifts for overseas military personnel, and worked as a nanny during her high school years.
2023 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri – Valley Community Scholarship Recipient
Serena Helm received the $1,000 Assistance League® of Amador Valley Tri- Valley Community Scholarship. Serena graduated early from Valley High School in Dublin. She will attend Los Positas College in the fall semester and plans to transfer to American River College’s Funeral Services Program. Serena has proudly volunteered at Dublin’s Heritage Park and Museum, Valley Christian Church, and has provided homeless outreach. Currently she is working two jobs to prepare for her future.
