The Anaheim Hills Auxiliary of the Assistance League of Anaheim celebrates its 20th anniversary this month at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 at Brookdale Senior Living. All women in the community are invited.
A special program is planned spotlighting Anaheim’s Sister Cities in Mito, Japan and Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.
Auxiliary members have participated in a variety of philanthropic projects throughout the 20 years, including purchasing band instruments for the music program in the elementary schools within the Anaheim School District; preparing hygiene bags for senior citizens; making Cool Caps for pediatric and adult cancer patients; providing Easter bags for children living in motels in Anaheim; and supporting the Assistance League’s signature program, Operation School Bell, which provides school uniforms for Anaheim students.
Membership is open to all women interested in fun, friendship and community service. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. at Brookdale Senior Living.
