Anaheim – Auxiliary Sponsors Membership Tea

Orange County Register, August 4, 2016

The Anaheim Hills Auxiliary of Assistance League of Anaheim is sponsoring a membership tea at 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 23 at the Brookdale Senior Living facility. And all women are invited.

Auxiliary chairman Rosemary Garrido’s agenda will include an overview of club philanthropic projects, social and fundraising events.

The evening’s program also features guest speaker Pam Chilson, who will highlight the Assistance League’s Operation School Bell® Project. This project provides school uniforms, shoes and school supplies for homeless and underserved students in Anaheim. Operation School Bell also helps to enhance these students’ self-esteem and chance to succeed.

The evening also includes mother and daughter beekeepers Sandy and Michelle Tabako, who will share some interesting and amazing stories about bees. Patricia Thunyakij will also prepare a sampling of home grown organic herbal teas.

Light refreshments will be served following the program. Membership in the nonprofit auxiliary is open to all women in the community interested in fun, friendship and community service. Meetings are held at 7:30 p.m., on the fourth Tuesday evening of the month, except July, at Brookdale Senior Living (formally Nohl Ranch Inn).
