Atlanta – Awards Participants in Children’s Book Drive

atlanta-plaquesAssistance League of Atlanta recently awarded plaques to the Interact Club at Dunwoody High School and the Executive Council of  Dunwoody Elementary School PTO  for helping the organization set a new record collecting books for their annual Children’s Book Drive.  In 2016, Assistance League collected and distributed more than 17,400 books in the Atlanta area. Over 2,500 of these were donated to Hightower Elementary and Kingsley Elementary Schools in Dunwoody. They will be used for reading classes, libraries and for distribution to children who don’t have books at home. Assistance League will be accepting new and gently-used books throughout the year as the need is growing. There is a drop-off bin located at Alice’s Cleaners in Dunwoody Village. If your school or business would like to help collect books, please contact the organization at PR@AssistanceLeagueATL.org.  For more information about Assistance League of Atlanta, visit assistanceleagueatl.org.
