Assistance League of El Paso was presented with a check for $4,000 by the Sunrise Rotary Club on Wednesday, in recognition of the work performed by the group.
Each year, the all-volunteer organization provides school clothes to more than 3,500 low-income children. The clothes are purchased with cash donation and income from the league’s thrift store at 2728 E. Yandell.
After Wednesday’s presentation, several Rotary members helped outfit students from three schools.
