Greater Cincinnati – New Beginnings Program Benefits from Fashion Show

The Montgomery Woman’s Club hosted its annual fashion show at the Manor House.

The theme, “Passport to Fashion: Paris,” was a sellout at 345-plus guests on a blustery Saturday in May. The weather outside resembled November but the energy and enthusiasm inside reflected springtime in Paris. Cherry blossom centerpieces, raffle baskets galore, a cupcake raffle and even an Eiffel Tower for “Parisian Paparazzi” which lured the guests to an illuminated atrium for photo opportunities prior to the fashion show by Chico’s of Kenwood Towne Centre.

This year, New Beginnings project of Greater Cincinnati Assistance League was one of the beneficiaries of the fashion show along with other charitable organizations that MWC supports. Last year, MWC paired with the VA Fisher House as the major beneficiary.

Guests of the fashion show entered into a cupcake raffle for amethyst and diamond earrings donated by Koop Diamond Cutters and the cupcakes were from Tres Bella Bakery in Reading. One lucky winner garnered the earrings and delicious cupcakes. Sycamore AP photo students Jay Simha and Oksana Schornak took photos throughout the day.

MWC members posed as models for the day’s event. Ann Daumeyer, Bev Verket, Carolyn Belletti, Lisa Houser, Linda Pensyl and Tori Lang-Baker wore casual to cocktail wear on the runway after the calling of the basket raffles.
