The nonprofit Assistance League of Inland North County donated funds to support the FOOD 4 KIDS Backpack Program in San Diego County. The backpacks are given to needy students to carry food home for the weekend. The nonprofit donated enough money to provide backpacks for 2,112 children. Assistance League members Jeanne Bente (left) and Nancy Endress are holding samples of the donated backpacks at the San Diego Food Bank. The Assistance League’s Thrift and Consignment Shop at 2068 E.
