Montgomery County – Assistance League Builds with the Boy Scouts

Assistance League Montgomery County adds a beautiful and meaningful area to its building with the help of Boy Scout Troop 491 of Montgomery, Texas. The Eagle Scout project was led by 15-year-old Life Scout Cody Puckett.

Cody, along with almost 40 volunteers and a combined total of 300 service hours, laid memorial and honor pavers in an area on Metcalf Street in front of the Assistance League Thrift Shop building. The project included approximately 350 pavers, 2 yards of crushed granite, and 2 yards of bull rock to fill an area approximately 60 feet long and 4 feet wide. The project, benefitting Assistance League Montgomery County in Conroe, was completed on June 27, 2021.

Cody has been a Scout since 2012.  In addition to Boy Scouts, he is active in YOUTH at First Methodist Conroe.  He will be a freshman at Lake Creek High School and aspires to eventually play on their varsity basketball team.

Cody would like to thank the people and businesses who donated to his project, including Ace Hardware, Home Depot, Weisinger Materials and East Texas Brick Company along with the New Passages Sunday School class at First Methodist Conroe, and numerous friends and family.

Assistance League thanks Cody, his scout troop and their parents for their hard work and dedication to this project.
