You know that you were part of something special when all you did was sit in the audience and you can’t help but go around telling others about it. That was my experience during our weekly Conroe Noon Lions Club meeting Wednesday at our annual Special Spring Style Show.

When we started doing the Special Spring Style Show a few years ago, it was a new and exciting event and to see how great of a job that Lion Samantha Good did in that role this year makes me proud to think of what talented young people we have in our club. This year, we were privileged to feature Bridgewood Farms, a place in Montgomery County for teens and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She and her committee did a wonderful job treating our special guests to a day of pampering, style and self-confidence.

Lions and guests were thrilled to witness Bridgewood’s clients strut down the runway in new outfits donated by TJ Maxx, Montgomery County Assistance League – Thrift Shop, JC Penney, Boot Barn and Kroger Marketplace. Pay attention to these models’ names because they’ll be doing great things like winning gold at the Special Olympics. Models Stacy Brown, Sky Holak, Tim Veatch, Donna Crumpler, Hannah Hafer, Brennon Life, Trevor McNamara, Sandra Bulick, Stephen Smith and Craig Sear stole the show and our hearts!
