Norman – Hosts Holiday Home Tour to Fund Operation School Bell

Have you ever wanted to take a peek inside some of the beautiful homes around Norman? See how they decorate for the holidays or gather home decór inspiration for your own home? You can do just that today and Saturday.

Five homeowners have donated their time and home to the Assistance League Norman Holiday Home Tour. Each home will be open to the pubic between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. today and Saturday.

Tickets to view the homes are $20 and can be purchased at the door, at assistanceleague.org/norman/holiday-home-tour or at the following retailers: Theo’s Marketplace, Occasions, Christmas Expressions and Tulips.

The homes available to tour are:

• The Abbey home at 4511 Chukkar Court. Each year, Kris Abbey’s mother helps decorate for the Christmas season. This year’s theme is in plaid, featuring a Christmas tree in every downstairs room.

• The Booze home at 4601 Ridgeline Drive. The Booze family enjoys their beautiful backyard and pool while entertaining family and guests in the pool house. The interior design and holiday decorations were done by Jeri Saliba.

• The Calhoun home at 341 Cotswold Commons. The home features a recently remodeled kitchen, as well as Russian art collected on their many travels.

• The Donica home at 3507 Hillview Drive. This home features a pond in the front yard. The family’s favorite spot is by the fireplace in the back watching OU football.

• The McNeil home at 333 Millbrook. The showstopper of this home is the dramatic fireplace, as well as artwork collected from around the world.

Ticket proceeds benefit the programs of Assistance League Norman. Assistance League is dedicated to transforming the lives of children in Norman through community programs. Each year, Assistance League touches the lives of more than 1,700 children through Operation School Bell®.

Operation School Bell works with Norman Public Schools and Little Axe to identity children (kindergarten through 12th grade) who are in need of new school clothes. Volunteers provide a personal shopping experience and help children shop for new clothes, coat, socks, undergarments, backpack, books, hygiene kits and accessories.

All of these items are free to the children and give them the confidence they need to start the school year off right and ready to learn with out the worry or stress of wondering if they will have new clothes that fit and are stylish.

Two years ago, Assistance League of Norman partnered with Kohl’s to provide the same experience for middle school and high school children but at the Kohl’s department store. By partnering with Kohl’s, students shop on their own time after school and don’t have to worry about missing class time or questions from friends as to where they were during the day.

All of Assistance League’s programs are entirely funded through donations, grants and fundraising events such as Holiday Home Tour. To learn more about Assistance League and its other community programs, visit assistanceleague.org/norman.
