North Coast – Barnes & Noble Book Drive Recipient

OCEANSIDE: Books donated to elementary school The Assistance League of North Coast was the 2015 recipient of the 2015 Barnes & Noble Book Drive and donated books to students at Laurel Elementary School in Oceanside. Pictured are students in Lawrence Pallant’s 3rd grade class at Laurel. A total of 990 books went to 495 students. By the conclusion of the Barnes & Noble book drive at the end of the year, the Assistance League received over 2,700 books and donated an additional 900 books to Maryland Elementary and provided 250 books to local middle school libraries through the World of Books program, 20 books to include in layettes for teen moms through the Wee Help program, and 580 books to elementary schools for reading incentive programs.
